Thanks to everyone who turned out for Holly Konrady's yoga for athletes today! What a way to start the week and the holiday with an intentional yoga practice. Holly will return in December and you won't want to miss an opportunity to balance, strengthen and flex!
Remember, we'll meet on Tuesday (swim workout with John) and Wednesday (timed mile progress report at the UNCW track), BUT, there will be no scheduled workouts on THURSDAY or FRIDAY of this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. That means no club swim on Thursday and no club run or swim on FRIDAY. This week will look like this:

TUESDAY SWIM

Check out the new calendar on the WORKOUT tab of the website!! Lance suggested this AWESOME new site to help organize weekly workouts, socials and races. I've been using it for a few weeks and really like it. It allows our club to keep track of our regular workouts, plus any extras (like birthdays, our pre-run coffees and weekend bikes and runs). It even allows links to the routes. You can also see other workouts in the region and the state! Sign up today and choose the YDUBTRICLUB as your affiliated club. TRY IT NOW!

On a personal note, I thought I'd share my B2B race story and a video that I posted to my blog last week. For two years, this club has been instrumental in getting me to this place. You all have a way of lifting each other up and encouraging and instilling belief - in me and each other.
This week I am thankful for the coaching, the nudges to do a little more, the nudges to do a little less, the encouragement, the comic relief, the rescues, the all-out effort, increased faith, genuine celebration and persuasion you all gave!
What started as a seed of an idea in 2009 [when I was a volunteer and spectator for the B2B] and grew in 2010 [when I did the swim leg of the half-iron with Michelle and Nicole and watched Renee cross the finish line smiling with her two girls], culminated into THIS: my first half-iron finish in 2011! [It's long but there are more pix and a video!]
Who knows what's next!?
