This weekend is the B2B Ironman and Half Ironman Triathlon! Not a participant? You can get involved as a volunteer or as a supporter on Saturday! Either way, you will be inspired by our team members who cross the finish line as IRON men and women! You'll want to look for Bruce Brawley, Brian Campbell, Ben Bowie, Ryan Bowie, Leanne LaFave, Jennifer Young, Sylvain Lefebrve, Iain Fergussen, Nicole Ferguson, Jessica Hartmann, Michelle Gurrera, Sami Winter and Beth Andrew. BEACH2BATTLESHIP PARTY!
Beth and Chris Sheppard will host the post-B2B CELEBRATION with an oyster roast and potluck on Sunday Nov. 14 from 3:00p - 7:00p. Please bring your family, your favorite beverage, an oyster knife or two and your favorite dish to share! Her address is 134 Whipporwill Lane. MONDAY BIKE: Sami is back from her adventure at the New York City Marathon! She finished in 3:49:56 and her average pace was 8:47! Congrats, Sami! She will be with us on Monday for our bike training at the YWCA. She wants to design the perfect workout so please CLICK HERE if you can make it. Whether you rest or race this weekend, she'll have the perfect session for you.
FITNESS FOR LIFE INJURY PREVENTION CLINIC ON THURSDAY Join Greg Konig for our first Fitness for Life Injury Prevention Clinic on November 18, 2010 from 6:30pm - 7:30pm! First off, congratulations to Mary Dallow! She competed in the North Carolina Senior Games in September and earned a spot in the NATIONAL SENIOR GAMES in Houston in 2011! Mary placed first in her age group in the 200 Freestyle (3:35:10), the 100 Freestyle (1:40:66) and the 500 Free (9:43:82)! She placed second in her age group in the 200 Backstroke (4:03:12) and the 100 Backstroke (1:52:87).
Jason Ma and Billy Block competed in the Marine Corps Marathon on October 31 in Washington, D.C. Billy finished in 3:39:06! His average pace was 8:22! Jay finished in 3:47:47 with an average pace of 8:42! Great job, Guys!

TRI-YOGA
Holly Konrady is offering TRI-YOGA on Wednesdays at 6:00pm (new time!). This special series focuses on yoga for athletes and consists of centering, infusing breath into movement, and stretching muscles worked during activities related to triathlon training and competition. Sequences will include poses that enhance balance, core strength, total body strength, and flexibility critical to swimming, cycling, and/or running. This one hour class is complete with relaxation and visualization techniques.
