News for January 19, 2012

SOCIAL NEWS
PARTAY THIS WEEKEND:  Join us on January 21 at 6:00p as we celebrate the new year! Bring your family, a dish to share and your favorite beverages for a casual get-together at the Masonboro Forest Community Clubhouse. If you haven't received the evite yet, look for it HERE!  We're bringing a Wii game console for the kids + a few games (including Just Dance - Leanne, you're up first!). If your family has a favorite game or personal remotes, please bring them with you!

Finally, there is a nominal fee for having our shindig at the clubhouse. We're asking for each attending family to pitch in $5 - $20 to cover the rental and clean-up fee. Thank you in advance for helping out!

WORKOUT NEWS

Saturday:  We may have an opportunity to bike OUTSIDE on Saturday morning! Right now, the forecast is calling for temperatures in the mid-fifties, clouds and light winds. We will meet at INDEPENDENCE MALL on Oleander Drive at 6:00am. We will ride around the mall - which is flat, lighted and fairly traffic-free. Plus, there will be three workouts to choose from!

Your bike and HELMET are required. Hydration/Nutrition and bike pump are optional. If you'd like to make it a BRICK workout, don't forget your running shoes!

Look for an email and Facebook post on Friday evening for a location update. If we ride inside, we'll meet at 7:00am for a 1h15m ride! Stay tuned for more!

Sunday: Run from Starbucks at Landfall Center. Join us for a pre-run social at 6:15a. Run starts at 7:00a. Various mileage, routes and paces available!
MONDAY: Indoor Bike Ride at YWCA at 6:00am. Along with an amazing workout we're going to play PIN THE TAIL ON THE TRI BIKE!

MOTIVATION

Jane Ellison posted this on her Facebook page last week and it's worthy of a look!

"Whether you're a professional or just an amateur,
its most important
that you never forget you're doing [triathlon] to enjoy it."
