WORKOUT NEWS ---------------

BIKE ON MONDAY  Join us on MONDAY, FEB 18 for an indoor bike session. Arrive at 5:45 to set up and warm up by 6:00am. This is a transition practice. We will practice our transitions from swim to bike and bike to run. Plus, you'll get in some dynamic interval training. Please bring anything you think you'll need for race day including your helmet, bike shoes, shades, even your swim cap and goggles! Bring your run gear for an off-the-bike transition run.  Check out THIS SITE for a printable checklist for any upcoming race. 
 
SWIM NEWS! PLEASE NOTE!  There will be no more coached Monday night swims! Many thanks to you regulars for interest in these early evening swim practices. The tri club will no longer have a dedicated lane, BUT you can still get in a swim. There will be at least three lanes available from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Monday - Thursday and 6:00pm - 7:00p on Friday.  CLICK HERE for the winter pool schedule and the complete list of lap lane availability.
 
 
SPECIAL EVENTS ----------
 
YOGA NEWS! TONIGHT at the OPEN STUDIO Meet Ashley Ludman!     Ashley comes highly recommended by our resident yogi, Holly Konrady and is teaching at 5:30pm at the Open Studio in Mayfaire.
 
Ashley has been practicing Yoga and leading wellness education since 1996. She owned and operated Seaside Yoga in Wilmington, NC for 8 years before moving to Nosara, Costa Rica.  She currently educates Yoga teachers and leads retreats in Central AmericaIf you need your yoga fix - Holly Konrady is offering two opportunities each week. Join her on Tuesdays from 6:00p -7:00p at Cape Fear Sports Medicine and Thursdays at Open Studio 5:30p-6:30p. BOTH are donation-based classes.
 
 
SWIM CLINICS   Congrats to those of you who participated in our first time trial clinic on February 3. Your results were impressive and indicative of your hard work this season. CLICK HERE for your results! This should be a good indicator for your times for the Azalea sprint triathlon.

The next clinic will be held on Sunday, March 3 at 9:00am.   This clinic will include the 300-yard snake swims and, if weather permits, a bike and run option to practice transitions.  You can participate even if you aren't doing Azalea.
   
 
WEEKEND WORKOUTS ---------- 
 
SATURDAY RIDE - During this cold snap, don't forget to visit Fitness for Life's Cycle Center on Oleander Drive for this season's premier cycle training. Fitness for Life is proud to showcase the newest CompuTrainer MultiRider cycle center in the Southeast. Riders experience virtual courses with real-time video on a 12-foot projection screen and simulated incline and decline grading. You train on your bike with seven other riders. Safe, effective training for the off-season! There are two sessions on Saturday - 7am and 8:30 - and more throughout the week. CLICK HERE to reserve your space! 
 
RUN THIS SUNDAY!! Join us for coffee and a run! We meet at the Landfall Starbucks about an hour before the run for coffee and conversation. At 8am, we hit the road - choose your distance and your pace for a social run for all levels. Invite a friend and meet us there!
