KUDOS --------

Thought you might enjoy this from Bruce Reding. Tell us how the YDUBTRICLUB has improved your triathlon game or send us your race reports! Let us know why you love to swim/bike/run and breakthroughs you have each week in practice. You can send them HERE

I joined the Y Dub Tri Club in late 2012, a little after their season had already started.  I am neither young nor athletic, so, frankly, I was a little nervous.  When I showed up for my first swim practice at 5:25 AM (!), I wondered what I was getting myself into.  Well, it turns out that I had nothing to worry about.  Other club members immediately greeted me and made me feel welcome.  The practice was challenging, but what I was asked to do was scaled back to be within my abilities.  All in all, it was a fun morning.  This excellent beginning was the pattern for the entire season:  great support from the other club members (from nearly-as-newbies to podium finishers), encouraging coaches, and do-able but steadily more demanding practices.  Overall, it was a wonderful experience.  And talk about results!  By April, I was able to complete 4000 yard practices, which I would not have believed I was capable of just five months earlier.  Also, when swimming on my own, I found that I'd shaved ten minutes off my mile time.  In summary, I can't say enough good about the Y Dub Club.  I'm joining again, and, this year, I'll attend the run practices too.  (What am I getting myself into?) :)   - Bruce Reding, One Year Y-Dubber

PLUS - Happy Birthday to Holly Konrady and Ruth Edwards! May your day and your year be the best ever!
