WEEKEND WORKOUTS

BIKE on SATURDAY at Fitness for Life or SPIN-CITY. These indoor rides are perfect opportunities to improve your bike fitness. The computrainer rides at Fitness for Life use state-of-the-art computers to simulate actual courses. View your course on a 12-foot projection screen with ride (your own bike) on simulated incline and declines. There are three classes on Saturday to choose from including a two-hour ride at 10am. Join Beth Andrew for an indoor cycle class at SPIN-CITY at 9:30am on Saturday. The studio features twenty high-end cycles and a state-of-the-art sound system so you can practice you cadence and climbing skills set to music.


RUN ON SUNDAY - We'll meet for pre-run conversation and coffee at Starbucks at Landfall Center at 6:30a. Arrive early - the run starts at 7:30a! You can customize your mileage and your pace to the beach and back.

POWER HALF-HOUR

Do you have resolutions to improve your speed or technique in 2010? Fitness for Life trainer, Jacob Hosey, is offering one free 30-minute strength and power session for each Tri Club member after your next CompuTrainer session at Fitness for Life. It will be fun, educational and active—so dress to sweat!




TRI FOR AMANI


Jane Ellison and Fitness for Life have teamed up for a Tri for Amani Fundraiser! There are two ways win: bike the most miles or raise the most money! We'll see who can race the farthest on the Alcatraz Olympic distance Triathlon course in 45 minutes!!!

Format: 
Race start times are 7am, 8:15am, 9:30am, 10:45am, 12pm, 1:30pm, 2:45pm.  Arrive 15-20 minutes early to allow time for setup, calibration, and 10 minute warm up.  Bring your (clean) bike, cleats, a towel, and hydration.  Each race includes 8 riders racing as hard and fast as they can for 45 minutes!

Entry Fee Donation:
$25.00 / hour
(100% Goes to Tri for Amani)

You can also win by raising money! Find friends and family to sponsor your ride. Wage bets on how far you'll ride. Find those friends who can't do and see if they'll donate your entry fee. Ask for $1, $2,  $5, $10 per mile sponsorships! Match your sponsors and you and Tri for Amani will come out a winner! Sign up for multiple spots during the day!
