News - April 15, 2011

WORKOUTS

SUNDAY - Join your friends and teammates for a triathlon of S/B/R - that's Starbucks/Bike/Run on Sunday, April 17. The start/transition/finish is the Starbucks at Landfall Center. Meet for a pre-run coffee at 6:30a and a run at 7:30a. There's also a group leaving for a short bike ride - Time to Be Determined.

MONDAY - We'll be outdoors again!! We'll meet at the Dillards wing of Independence Mall at 5:45am. Please be on time and ready to ride at 6:00am. We'll warm up and move into our workout. Bring your running shoes for a short run after the bike!

REMINDERS

TWO WEEKS remain on our club calendar! According to my records, if you've attended all the practices, you swam over 180,000 yards, biked over 420 miles, and run over 160 miles!


TUE/THU SWIMS - approximately 135,150 yards
FRIDAY SWIMS -  approx 60,000 yards [at 2000 yards/practice]
BIKES - approx 15 miles/Monday
RUNS - approx 3-5 miles/Wednesday and 6 miles/Friday


Our last official practices are on Friday, April 29. There will be a run at 5:45a and a swim at 12:30p. Join us for a workout and breakfast at our run that morning! There will be a workout for all levels starting at 5:45. Come to run, walk or race! Or join us for coffee and a light breakfast  at 6:30a. More details to follow.
